Engine [ edit page ]

The term engine describes any object which provides mechanical power when provided with fuel, and something to burn fuel with, like air or oxygen. As well as fluid to cool the engine.
This article looks at the Engine component, a small diesel engine (not to be confused with the Diesel Engine also known as the large diesel engine).
The small diesel engine provides mechanical power to other components. It accepts a throttle input, allowing the output of the engine to be controlled. It is often the first component placed on any design after basic blocks.
It is commonly paired with a Wiki/Guides/Gearbox and clutch to provide a full drivetrain. It is possible for the engine to overheat, so it requires a coolant (typically water) to be pumped in and out of the engine (which is supported by the engine's own suction). The engine requires an in-take of air, and it also requires diesel fuel to operate. Finally, an exhaust is required to pump out the fumes created from the engine's operation.
